About ME

For over 37 years Armida Scopazzi has been creating innovative and delicious seasonal cuisine. Upon graduating from City College of San Francisco, Hotel and Restaurant in 1988 she began working at the Casa Madrona in Sausalito, followed by the Corinthian Yacht Club and The Caprice in Tiburon. In 1998 she and her husband opened a restaurant in San Rafael, Scopazzi’s, with great success.

She has been at the Corte Madera Town Center Farmers Market, Wednesdays noon to 5pm, for the past twelve years. She wants very much to get back to her space at the Farmers Market, but the shop is currently taking up all of her time.

My family taught me that food brings people together and as the years have passed I have grown to appreciate the importance of meals in keeping families and communities together.

I was fortunate enough to have owned a restaurant that provided a place for the community to gather and enjoy the bounty of this special place. When it was lost, I found I missed being a part of the food community. I was purchasing local, organic ingredients before it was the hip thing to do.

I am beyond happy to now have this cafe where I can provide really good food to the local community. I feel blessed to be able to work with food and share what I love doing with the community around me.

Quite simply, I love cooking.
Armida

I have always loved the smells, sounds, textures and tastes of cooking. The joy I experience when creating food is matched only by the pleasure I find when I see people enjoying my creations.
